Married 3 times (44 years to present wife, Lynn). Worked for Western Electric for a few brief years after discharge. Moved to manufacturing at entry level in flexible packaging and worked my way up to Information Systems Manager spending 31 years in this business until disabled.

Lived in Memphis, TN after discharge until being transferred to Edinburgh, IN after Memphis plant closed in 1989. Have lived in Columbus, IN ever since.

Was active softball player for 35 years until 2 back surgeries. Also has to sell my Harley after the surgeries because I could no longer hold the bike up. Now golf every day is warm enough.

Don't drink or smoke any more. I am a born again Christian and spend all my time with family now. Am legal guardian of Logan (grandson) since the day he was born. He has always been an honor roll student. He is now a junior Columbus East High School (last year’s class 5A state football champions). He just got his drivers license so he is now hell on wheels. 🏎

Having had the honor of serving with the bravest men I have ever seen. I never measured up to Charlie company standards but at least I can say I had the honor of serving along side Charlie company soldiers.

My two memories that really stay with me every day of my life are the faces of those KIA and WIA and the fact that not contributing as much as the rest I can live with the fact I did my best.
