I was adopted by Chuck when he came back from Viet Nam. At the time, he was a Captain/ Special Forces stationed at Fort Braggand my older brother was an officer in the 82nd airborne, also stationed at Fort Bragg. They had become very close friends so Chuck took me on as his little brother too. I loved it, he took me on as his own! When Chuck was discharged he and his then wife took a ride up to Boston to see his father and stopped by to see my parents and me, in Branford, CT on his way up to see his Dad. He left all his US military gear/uniforms and war souvenirs, NVA uniforms, guns and equipment that he brought home from Viet Nam with me then. Some time in the early 70s. I think I was about 17/18 years old at the time. My older brother has since passed away and while I was looking for Chuck to tell him about it, I finally found him through this site. I knew he was in an air mobile calvary unit in Viet Nam but unfortunately it took me to long to find it. I would like to say good by to him, one last time. He was an exceptionally good and loving person from Midland, Texas and he loved me just because I was his close friend's little brother! We met the first time at some off base housing at Fort Bragg (1968/69?) I was very fortunate to have him as my adopted brother! Good bless him...
